This project is one that took several years from the idea to the final product. From the first time I saw the stuffed animal head in the children's decor section at Target and had the idea to make him talk, to actually making him do it, there were several years in between. Having stuffed animal heads on your walls is kinda creepy, but why not make them talk and sing as well?
The spark that made me finally make this project into reality, was when Twitter was having a #MicrobitVirtualConcert and the realization that this bear was perfect for it.
I cut open his mouth, made a custom mouth piece controlled by a servo, stitched everything back together, added a HummingbirdBit and a sound sensor, and I coded it to open its mouth according to the amount of sound it hears.
Enjoy his beautiful singing voice with backup vocals by the cardboard dragon I made before. He also tells a great dad joke (voiced by my husband).
